Tortilla genovesa / Genoese omelette

Esta receta viene de la familia de mi abuela materna, de origen italiano como mucha gente de Torrevieja (Alicante).

This recipe comes from my maternal grandmother’s family, of Italian origin as many people in Torrevieja (Alicante).

Ingredientes (para 4 personas):

5 huevos

1 berenjena

1 tomate

ajo, perejil, queso, pan rallado, orégano, sal y pimienta blanca

Ingredients (for 4 persons):

5 eggs

1 aubergine

1 tomato

garlic, parsley, cheese, breadcrumbs, oregano, salt and white pepper

1. Hervimos la berenjena troceada hasta que esté blanda y la ponemos a escurrir.

2. Batimos los huevos y añadimos todos los ingredientes. El tomate se puede poner troceado o triturado.

3. Ponemos la mezcla en un molde y horneamos media hora a 180º.

1. Boil the chopped aubergine until it is soft and drain.

2. Beat the eggs and add all the ingredients. The tomato can be chopped or pureed.

3. Put the mix in a bowl and bake at 180 º for about 30 minutes. 

Se sirve fría.

Serve cool.

Dos variaciones: en lugar de berenjena se puede hacer con espinaca o con alchachofa, guisantes, cebolla picada y hojas blancas de lechuga.

Two variations: instead of aubergine it is possible to prepare it with spinach or with artichoke, peas, chopped onion and lettuce white leaves.

El sábado realizamos la primera urban knitting organizada por The Crafty Room. Hemos estado dos meses tejiendo y preparándola y lo hemos pasado muy bien, pero reunirnos todos para montarla fue lo mejor.

On Saturday we carried out our first urban knitting organized by The Crafty Room. We have been two months knitting and preparing it and we have had a great time, but the best was to meet everyone and do it. 

Estamos muy contentas con la acogida de nuestra propuesta, han participado veintiséis personas en total. Nos hemos sentido muy arropadas y creo que todos lo han disfrutado.

We are very happy because it was very well received, twenty-six persons took part. We have felt really supported and I think that everybody enjoyed it.

Tutorial: broche / Tutorial: brooch

Tenía unos círculos de fieltro fucsia que me habían quedado de otra labor y se me ha ocurrido hacerme un broche "primaveral". Si queréis hacer un broche de forma rápida y sencilla el fieltro es la mejor opción.

It had some fuchsia felt circles left from other neddlecraft and I have thought of making a "spring" brooch. If you want to make a brooch fast and easily felt is the best option.

1- He recortado un trozo de fieltro donde pegar los círculos.

1- Cut a piece of felt where to stick the circles.

2- Después lo he decorado con unos bordados.

2- Next decorate it with some embroideries.

3- He pegado un trozo de fieltro para tapar la trasera del bordado y darle más relieve y le he puesto un imperdible.

3- And finally glue a piece of felt in back and add a safety pin.
